The B15 engine is a classic 1.5L displacement power core equipped on SAIC-GM-Wuling. Developed based on advanced General Motors technology, it is specially customized for mainstream commercial and passenger dual-purpose models such as Wuling Hongguang and Wuling Hongguang S. As a preferred power unit balancing power performance and fuel economy, it is widely suitable for diverse scenarios including family travel, business reception, and small-volume freight transportation. Relying on a mature and stable technical architecture and strict production quality control standards, it has become the core power configuration of Wuling series models, providing reliable and long-lasting power support for vehicles.
Adopting an inline 4-cylinder, 16-valve, double overhead camshaft (DOHC) structure, the engine is equipped with a dual continuous variable valve timing system (DVVT) and efficient electronic fuel injection technology. With a displacement of 1.5L, it can achieve a maximum power of 82kW (about 112 horsepower), a maximum torque of 146.5N·m, and a rated speed of 5800rpm. Its power output is smooth and strong, performing excellently in key working conditions such as starting acceleration and full-load climbing. At the same time, it greatly improves fuel utilization, achieving a balance between low fuel consumption and strong power; emissions meet National IV and above environmental standards, and combined with optimized noise reduction design, it significantly enhances driving comfort.
